Chatbots & assistants (RAG)
Conversational assistants connected to your own documents through RAG: reliable answers, with sources, always up to date.
What is it, in practice?
A business chatbot is a conversational assistant that answers questions from your customers or your staff. With RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), it draws its answers from your own documents (procedures, FAQs, product sheets), so responses are reliable, sourced and always current.
A language model on its own has a well-known flaw: it always answers, confidently, even when it does not know. In a professional setting that is not acceptable. A made-up answer about a procedure or a contract can be costly.
RAG fixes that flaw. Before answering, the assistant retrieves the relevant passages from your documents, then writes its answer from those extracts only. It no longer "knows" anything by itself: it relies on your document base, which it can quote. Update a document and the answer changes straight away.
How it works
Gather the document base
We bring together the sources that count as the reference: procedures, FAQs, product sheets, contracts. This is the only material the assistant will draw on.
Split and index
Documents are split into passages and indexed, so the system can find the right extract for any question in an instant.
Connect the language model
For each question, the relevant extracts are retrieved and passed to the model, which writes an answer grounded in them.
Set the guardrails
We define the scope, the tone and how to handle off-topic questions, then test on real questions before going live.
